Retaining Walls

One of the most common ways to use bin blocks is to use them in building retaining walls. You could build these types of retainer walls both residentially as well as commercially. Another structure you could build with bin blocks is anti-erosion walls, which are very similar to retainer walls. Both of these structures hold back the ground and give you more space in your yard or outdoor area. 

When building a wall, the first thing that you need to do is to make sure your ground is totally level. You need to make sure that you double check this and use an excavator if needed to get the ground totally level. If the ground is not level, you risk having an unsafe structure, causing the retaining wall to start to lean over time or even fall over time. This could cause serious injury or even death, which is why it is crucially important from the beginning of the project to start well from the ground level and up. When you make sure that your ground is level, your whole entire project or wall will be level as well. You may need an excavator in order to do this. By making sure the ground is level, this will be the best way to get your project started on the right food. Once the ground is totally level, you are able to start building the first row of your retaining wall, erosion wall, or other structure.

Please keep in mind, depending on what state or city you live in, you may need to get an inspection to get permits in order to build. Make sure you do your due-diligence in advance so that you don’t have any issues later on down the road.

Please note- when building a retainer wall or anti erosion wall, you should NOT line up the joints of the ecology blocks. As counterintuitive as that sounds, if you stack the blocks using the joints, it is not as strong as it could be; it would be wobbly and could more easily shift, lean, or even fall over. On the other hand, when you place the rows while stacking the blocks irregularly, it causes more strength and stability between rows. This causes the wall to be stronger and more stable for years to come.

Storage Bin

Another structure that you could build with ecology blocks is a storage bin for outdoor uses. It is very simple to build this type of structure, and in just a few hours, you could have your little storage bin available and ready to go.This type of storage bin could be used to store rocks, gravel, road salt, mulch, and more. It is so helpful to have a storage bin for these types of things because you do not want the wind to blow the small bits all over the property. It keeps your product more secure no matter what the weather. 

When you build a storage bin, you do not need to have a foundation or a roof for the storage bin; the side walls made of the concrete blocks offer the security needed to store the items. This is a no-brainer if you have an agricultural center, highway department area, or need a bin on your property for this type of thing.

Traffic Barriers, Parking Lot Barriers

Another common way to use ecology blocks is to use them as traffic barriers or parking lot barriers. Basically, these huge blocks just tell people where to go and where to not go. It lets them know that certain areas are blocked off and cannot be accessed. One important quality of bin blocks is that they are also movable (with a forklift or other piece of machinery), and you can move them from place to place if needed. Maybe you need to temporarily block off traffic on a road or parking lot for several months, and then after, you can now remove the barrier. This is a very useful attribute of the bin blocks.

Anti Theft Barriers

One of the most interesting ways that you can use ecology blocks is to use them to stop thievery. Basically, these big bin blocks stop the entrance and exit of vehicles onto your property. When this happens, your property becomes a lot more secure. This is because thieves who want to rob your property cannot get away quickly because there is no vehicle to access the property. Because they cannot quickly drive away, this stops a lot of crime before it even happens. Protect your home, property, or business today by using the bin blocks to your advantage! Another thing most people do not consider is that if you have a storefronts or city apartments on a major city street, thieves can ram their vehicles into the front of the building in order to rob the place and drive away quickly.  If there was a heavy bin block that weighed thousands of pounds in front of the building, the vehicle would not be able to do that. This is another great way to stop crime before it even starts.
